Gaby Aghion, an Egyptian-born Parisienne, founded Chloe in 1952 with his partner Jacques Lenoir. Being a French luxury fashion design house headquartered in Paris, France, the house produces accessories, fragrances and women's RTW (ready-to-wear).
Later in 1990's, Stella McCartney, daughter of ex-Beatle Paul McCartney, reinvented Chloe once more. With her figure-loving designs she sets trends which helped increase a French house Chloe's revenues by a speculated amount of 500%.
Phoebe Philo, was named Creative Director, took place after Stella's departure to launch her own line. She continued the Chloe legacy of luxurious, audacious RTW, whilst stamping the house with her own unique signature.
On March 10th, 2008, Hannah MacGibbon, former Assistant Director to Valentino, was appointed as the new Creative Director at Chloe.
