Balenciaga is founded by a Spanish designer Cristobal Balenciaga. Born in the Basque Country with a wide recognition for one's deeds as a couturier of adamant standards and was referred to as "the master of us all" by Christian Dior. The house of Baleciaga is now owned by the French Multinational company PPR, specializing in retail shops and luxury brands.

The first ever boutique was opened in 1914 in San Sebastian, Spain by Cristobal Balenciaga, which expanded to include branches in Madrid and Barcelona. Balenciaga opened his Paris couture house on Avenue George V in August 1937 when the Spanish Civil War forced him to close his stores, which turned out to nearly immediate success. This time the designer house is run by Nicolas Ghesquiere. With notable designs, customers risked their safety to ravel to Europe during World War II to see Balenciaga's clothing.

In the 1950s, Balenciaga totally transformed the silhouette, designed the tunic dress, with other notable contributions on postwar era such as the spherical balloon jacket, the high-waisted baby doll dress, the balloon skirt and the sack dress. In 1959, his work came to climax in the Empire line and contributed to what is considered to be his most important contributions to the world of fashion: a new silhouette for women.

In the 1960s, Balenciaga was a trendsetter in his use of fabrics. His sculptural creations were considered masterworks of haute couture worn to acclamation by clients such as Pauline de Rothschild, Bunny Mellon, Marella Agnelli Gloria Guinness and Mona von Bismarck. Cristobal Balenciaga left the house in 1968.

Balenciaga is now owned by the Gucci Group, an Italian iconic fashion and leather goods label. The house designed the dresses worn by Jennifer Connelly,Nicole Kidman and Kylie Minogue.

Balenciaga is very famous for creating innovative structural pieces, bestriding the edge of fashion and anticipating the future of women's RTW fashion.

Dolce & Gabbana - based in Milan, Italy, was started by the Italian designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. Obviously, the name was taken from the last and first name of its originators. With its very remarkable and fashionable designs artist like Christina Aguilera, Monica Bellucci, Kylie Minogue, Jennifer Lopez and many people who can afford it digs the trend.

Dolce & Gabbana has two central lines. The Dolce&Gabbana is acted by designers and is more stiff aiming for long-term trends focusing on more high-priced luxury items. While D&G is a more casual line that is urban inspired. D$G Junior has also been established similar to D&G but aimed at children under the age of 11. It is more influenced by popular culture.

Christian Audigier - a fashion brand which was name after its originator Christian Audigier, a French fashion designer and entrepreneur.

Having unmatched passion and creative mind, he made his first mark as a fashion jeans designer. Christian Audigier has designed for such brands as Kookai, Lee, and Von Dutch to mention a few.
